Frank Slovenec has a depth and breadth of professional skills. He is a strategic thinking entrepreneur, who has been able to take the strategic and execute it tactically, through flawless operations and creative sales and marketing leadership. Frank has been in the tornado in many different roles. In software, leading a company from start up into a significant presence throughout the world, giving the company extreme leverage through the masterful use of the appropriate channels. A leadership role in the distribution channel with Ingram and Intelligent Electronics, building on an existing base of channels and dramatically improving each companies profitable presence, through the introduction of new products, new internal processes and creative customer access.
He has successfully lead public and private companies into high growth periods, orchestrated winning acquisitions and intelligent changes in direction. Frank looks at business from three fundamental perspectives: the customer, the employee and the generation of cash. The view from the customer back to the business will identify the strengths, weaknesses and the direction for success. Satisfied and challenged employees are the foundation on which to build a business. And certainly most important is the positive generation of cash, which is the fundamental measure of success.
His experience is highlighted by his zest for extremely challenging business transformations, that would send most executives to the sidelines. Three notables worth calling out are: First was the 1988-89 turnaround of Ingram, which resulted in the purchase of Micro D, what is today Ingram Micro. Second is the leadership within Intelligent Electronics from1989 through 1992, where the company grew internally and through acquisition from $500 million to $3.2 billion, with 33 successive record quarters of earnings. Third would be his leadership at Microrim, a database software company. He led them into worldwide channel distribution giving it a recognized industry leadership position as the 15th largest independent software company.
After building Intelligent Electronics he joined Government Technology Services to get them growing by focusing on their customer. The result was a near tripling in stock value and over 30% revenue growth to $620 million, while successfully completing the acquisition of the company’s largest competitor. From here he did a consolidation of 3 VAR’s into a national value added reseller later sold to Compucom. Then started his own company rolling up 4 white box assemblers into a $240 million national systems provider.
In 2000 Frank started SalesCEO LLC. Initially it was a sales training integrator and an executive sales coach / planner. SalesCEO has since spread out into sales organization design, sales compensation development and Affiliate Marketing Company.
Affiliate Marketing would not seem to be a fit. However the world has changed and will continue to change at "light speed". Affiliate Marketing is a way to understand how to best take advantage of the changing way people are associating, communicating and buying products and services.
Frank Slovenec is a battle tested and proven exec if ever there was one. Strategy formulation, attention to detail and leadership are his hallmarks.
